Pension Boards were introduced into the LGPS from April 2015 to assist administering authorities (scheme managers) secure compliance with the LGPS regulations, other legislation relating to governance and administration of the LGPS and requirements imposed by the Pensions Regulator and to ensure the effective and efficient governance and administration of the LGPS. This information seminar will inform those individuals who are Pension Board members or potential Board members about their responsibilities and how the wider pensions landscape influences Board activity.
